I've taken roads that brought me to this place,
Yes, these same roads have brought me to this place,
And I am standing on the edge of grace.
The road goes on without me, full of change.
I hope the road ahead will make me change
As all my hopes and dreams are rearranged.
As all I've been thus far now comes to this:
My life, my love of learning comes to this,
Both feared and to be greeted with a kiss.
For what ahead leaves me no more the same;
And what I choose leaves nothing now the same.
I cannot hide, refuse to speak its name.
I end one era, take away the light,
And step forth blindly into coming night.

Day thirteen of the May Sonnet Challenge. I will finish it this week yet. This is a blues sonnet. A fun form.
