Fear of me has made you run away
To deeper valleys here within your soul.
You are afraid of breaking what is whole.
Don't hide, my love; I see you plain as day.
There's less and more of me than once you knew;
But here's the daylight come to set you free.
The paradox pours curses down on me,
But whispers cool caresses over you.
Taken as I am my heart is lighter;
So burdensome a thing it is no more.
I am, put frankly, all you're looking for.
Surrender is no foe, and yet you fight her.
Throw back the heavy curtains drawn inside
And know you have no need to run and hide.
