April 2-Tazo

Lord, and thus I seek you here,
Imagining my pen
To be a means into your heart.
I would it were. And then?

Would I then know your sweetness, God?
Stare I out at the rain
And wish for some new remedy
That would erase the pain

Of not knowing you implicitly
As I feel I ought.
Not a thing will prove to fix
The problem, so I thought

While gazing out the window
With the warmth and calm of tea,
Knowing that no rain or cloud
Will touch inside of me.

'Tis you, you only, Holy One,
My maker, lover, friend,
Who are the means of life and love.
Even more so, you're the end.

Melt the storm and cease the rain
Outside, and in my eyes.
My pen and I have sought your heart
While the black ink dries.

Day two. And yeah, I'm pretty sure Tazo Zen Green tea is the best tea in the world. Nothing better. I wish I had some cinnamon to put in it like they have at Starbucks. Oh rainy days!
